What is the meaning of the word “faith”?
How should we define it? I had somebody in my comment section yesterday telling me that the definition of faith is believing something without good evidence to believe it... but that is incorrect!
That is, unfortunately,
a very popular definition of faith that many people have bought into. But that is not Christian faith as the Bible defines it. Christians believe what they believe because they have good evidence
to believe. In fact, God doesn't even expect us to believe things without evidence. He tells us that He provides us with all kinds of evidence. Much of that is in His creation.
Romans 1:20 - For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made.
