The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has introduced a new automatic transfer system for PF accounts, eliminating the tedious process of manually transferring funds when employees change jobs. Earlier, employees had to submit multiple documents and wait weeks for approval. Under the new system, the PF balance from the old account will be automatically transferred to the new account without employer intervention. The process, which previously took months, will now be completed within 3–5 days. This system ensures timely fund transfer and continuous interest accrual, providing enhanced financial security for employees.
