Stereo Miking Techniques For Upright Piano

In this video we look at and listen to three different stereo miking techniques for recording upright piano. X-Y, A-B and ORTF.

Recorded using a matched stereo pair of Rode M5 condenser mics and a Rode Stereo bar. Mics are feed Midas pre-amps within a two channel Beringher Audio Interface with the raw signal recorded by Ableton Live 10.

No post processing at all on the audio signals from each recording.
