Antique Leather Splitter RESTORED.

I found this American leather splitter / skiver wasting away in the back of the museum and I knew it had to be rescued. The restoration was stright forward and we employed standard restoration techniques and tools. with one exception. My normal rust removal process of electrolysis and a wire wheel could not be used due to the delicate nature of the precision machined rollers. I decided to use the CRC rust remover and it worked perfect. It removed 100% of the rust and left the metal bright ready for oil. very impressive stuff.
