Keyboard solo: Octavarium (Dream Theater)

Jordan's amazing solo from Dream Theater's 24-minute epic composition, Octavarium. Played on my Axiom Pro 61, rendered through my Nord Stage 2. It took me about 2 months to learn this solo, and I've used it to bring some aspects of my technique (mainly scales and arps) up to speed.

This video contains material copyrighted by Dream Theater (John Petrucci, James LaBrie, Jordan Rudess, John Myung and Mike Portnoy) and their record label, Atlantic Records. Fair use justification:

1) This video consists of only a small sample of the work, and not the entire work
2) Per the above, this video presents no commercial risk to any of the rights holders
3) This video is intended for educational use (watching someone play it will help you to understand the timing and techniques required)

A/V sync: I record audio and video separately in order to preserve quality. Recording a separate audio track means I have a 96kHz FLAC of this job which can be converted to other formats down the road. It also means that audio and video are a few milliseconds out of sync. I've done my best to sync them, and I assure you the speed you are watching it at is the speed I played it at.
