How to fix type checking errors - DiSco MIMO Episode 26

We fixed the conditional pre-commit hooks and we can finally move on to fixing all type errors. We go through module by module, and fix a variety of errors all the way from saved data formats to runtime checks. This marks the last "clean code" part of the series!
