Rocket Theater Episode 1: NASA SpaceX Crew-1

When four humans left Earth on SpaceX Crew Dragon Resilience, they took us... and the world, with them. Later, we paused as Falcon neared main engine cutoff and beautiful nebula colors formed in the sky.

In our new behind-the-scenes series—Rocket Theater—relive the moment of liftoff as we place cameras at the launchpad, interview the astronauts and track liftoff up-close from the NASA causeway (with a ridiculously zoomed-in camera).

SpaceX successfully launched Crew-1, the first operational Commercial Crew mission, sending NASA astronauts Michael Hopkins, Victor Glover, and Shannon Walker, and JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) astronaut Soichi Noguchi on a journey to the International Space Station.
