Stanley Tucci introduces Susan Sarandon at Trevor Live NY

http://www.thetrevorproject.org. Stanley Tucci presented Academy Award®-winner, Susan Sarandon with the Trevor Hero Award at Trevor Live at Chelsea Piers in NYC on June 25, 2012.

The Trevor Hero Award honors Susan Sarandon for being an openly vocal ally for youth and increasing visibility and understanding of LGBTQ community. As an ally for LGBTQ people, Sarandon has supported the freedom to marry as well as funding for HIV/AIDS research and healthcare for patients, and has spoken out about homophobia in the media.

Trevor Live is an annual event that benefits the life-saving, life-affirming work of The Trevor Project, providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) teens and young adults.
