Wreck of the SS Congdon A. Congdon

This is a model and video mashup of the stern of the Chester A. Congdon. This ship was built in 1907 and sank in 1927 after running aground near Isle Royale in Lake Superior. The ship rests in 210' of water.

Due to time constraints during the dive, only the rear portion of the Congdon's stern was modeled. A partial model of the William A. Irvine, a museum ship in Duluth, MN, was used to fill in the missing portions of the wreck's stern.

Some of the video was provided courtesy of Marhsall Allan. The photogrammetry-based wreck model is based on video taken from a GoPro Hero4 with two Big Blue 4200VLPs for lighting. The model of the William A Irvine was based on video taken from a DJI Mavic Pro 2.
