Congaree National Park 6.18.26 with Carolina Outdoor Adventures

Only company out in Congaree National Park today so we had Cedar Creek all to ourselves. It was nice and sunny so the snakes came out to play. We had several Brown Water Snakes 🐍 including Big Mama. We had a beautifully patterned Water Moccasin just past Dawson's Lake and a juvenile just past it. Spotted a Barred Owl 🦉 early on in the trip and a Summer Tanager near Tupelo Basin. Heard several Prothonotary Warblers 🐤 and a couple Red-shouldered Hawks 🪶.
Had a Snapping Turtle 🐢 pop up about half way down and several Yellow-bellied Slider Turtles 🐢 on the way back.
