Symptoms include but are not limited to:

🚫Feeling frustrated that an outing on the land,a hike,a jaunt about dedicated to wild crafting didn't result in a basket full of plants
•
🌿Consider where this mindset comes from.Entitlement.Catch it as it happens.Notice how these expectations keep you separated from being present with the land

🚫Taking really tiny amounts of various plants & ending up not using them for much more than a picture of an earthy basket scene to post
•
🌿No we don't need to only harvest if we can take huge amounts but if there's such a small amount that what we're taking isn't realistically usable we once again are feeling entitled
•

🚫Taking huge amounts of plants even if they are abundant with no realistic way/plan to utilize them/prevent them from rotting/forgetting about them as they hang from a rafter gathering dust but gives your background aesthetics that coveted witchy vibe
•
🌿Ask yourself how much of this ally is ethical to harvest?Then make sure your ethics include the question can I use all of this?How will I store her?Do I need this much?What do I plan to make with her?Simply taking for the sake of having is a symptom of entitlement

🚫Only getting out on the land if it's somewhere you can harvest from.Looking at parks,pathways,highly populated areas of nature as not worth even going to if you can't bring your basket

🌿How does it feel when the only time a friend/loved one shows up is to ask for something?To take something?Never spends time with you for the sake of spending time with you?When they're only interested in the parts of you they can gain from?

🚫Never seeking the land as a teacher,never simply setting with her,never taking steps to give back,in some way,more than we gain, never using our voice in earnest to speak for her,touting ourselves as the healer's instead of the plants that did the work
•
🌿There is so much more to gain than what we gather if only we would listen,there is so much she is asking of us,there is so much we can say for her, there is so much credit due for the hard work she does of healing us
