On this edition of Prairie Mosaic, we'll visit the 100 year old Alba Bales home economics training house on the campus of North Dakota State University and hear stories from some of the alumni; meet dramatic soprano Heather Hjelle from Barrett, MN and hear about her journey to becoming a professional opera singer and listen to her answer questions from Kennedy Elementary students about the opera; watch Emily Williams-Wheeler of Moorhead, MN create colorful pieces of art and hear about her passion for painting murals; listen to original pop music from Tyler Herwig of Eden Prairie, MN.

About the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund
In 2008, Minnesota voters passed a landmark piece of legislation — the Minnesota Clean Water, Land, and Legacy Amendment — which provided funding to public television stations serving audiences in Minnesota.
