Explanation:
Naruto sensed Sasuke's chakra in the Konoha area and ran to look for him, leaving Sakura alone.
He didn't think, at all, he just wanted to, no, he had to prevent his "friend" from making such a big mistake. Naruto discovered the truth, he knew why Itachi killed his clan,
he wanted to explain it to Sasuke.
He saved Itachi, and showed that he was not in the best humor today.
First the quarrel with Tsunade, then with Sakura, he was just fed up with it...
