The particular records involved in the charges are all kept at the Supreme Court . the delayed issuance of decision on 82 cases is already public knowledge and there are litigants whose rights have been violated .

The documents on SALNs are all kept at the Ombudsman and UP which REFUSED to issue certified copies . However , the letter from PCOO is sufficient to show that Marivic Leonen violated the SALN law.

Witg the attitude of the congressmen in treating the complaint , it would be very difficult or nearly impossible for any citizen to file impeachment against any official.

The members of the justice committee skirted on their duties to ascertain the truth . all they have to do is to summon the records of the Ombudsman and UP .

In the Sereno impeachment case , some grounds were supported by authentic records, but on some allegations that were shown by xerox copies , the committee proceeded and even issued subpoenas to the SC , BIR , and UP directing them to submit certified copies of the particular documents.

In that case , NO Impeachment case will ever proceed from hereon because all the agencies concerned will just outrightly deny providing certified copies of documents just like what the SC , Ombudsman and UP have done.

The attachment of authentic records was not an issue in the Sereno case. why should it be an issue in the Leonen case?

Yesterday was a sad day for the true essence of democracy because the citizens are now barred from their only weapon against impeachable officials.

The committee failed to view their constitutional duty to ascertain the truth and hid behind a mere technicality .

The public already know that AJ Marivic Leonen violated the Constitution and the SALN law ONLY the members of the committee refuse to see this.

Any ordinary citizen like the complainant has no means to get certified copies from the SC ,Ombudsman and UP . For that matter , no impeachment case can ever be filed from hereon with the ruling established by the committee.
