Galvarino The Warrior with Blades for Arms

In the aftermath of the battle, Mapuche prisoners were sentenced to amputations for their resistance of the Spanish. Some lost noses, others lost hands. One warrior, Galvarino, had both hands cut off. It is said he endred his punishment in calm silence.

He attached blades to his stumps, and joined the very next military campaign against the Spanish.
