Elite Dangerous Odyssey Laser + Plasma weapon demo

Here I’m testing out some weapons I haven’t used before – mostly. The Takada Eclipse and the Manticore Oppressor. The Eclipse is a laser carbine, the Oppressor a plasma carbine. Players don’t rate the Oppressor - here I find out why!

These weapons are used more in open combat zones rather than stealth infiltrations so I haven’t used them before. I did bring my Manticore Tormentor plasma pistol with me in case things got a bit too hot! Carbines require closer engagement with the opponent than rifles and none of them are silenced (Tormentor excepted) so there’s no hiding from the guards once I start shooting.

The Eclipse used in this video is grade 3, the Oppressor grade 1. Both with no mods. The Tormentor is grade 5, but I’ve had this weapon a long time and it’s my usual go -to sidearm for settlement raiding. It has Audio masking (silenced outside) and Noise Suppressor (silenced inside).

Suit is Dominator grade 5 with improved jump assist, enhanced tracking and night vision mods.
