Concrete Floor Demolition & Time Lapse - Machine Shop Build Ep. 11
Latest video: https://youtu.be/yPF1B1aK_kM
Got tired of the uneven old concrete floor in the machine shop / motorcycle garage and gave it the wrath of the electric jack hammer. The jack hammer won. I remember more than a decade ago these tools were very robust and got on your hands quite a bit. This new piece of equipment I rented was soft on hands and I couldn't feel any vibration at all. I used my trusty 2002 Honda TRX500FA Foreman Rubicon and ATV timber trailer with the homemade crane system and 12 volt winch powered dump box on it to haul the old concrete out and gravel in for leveling out the base for the foam board, plastic, rebar and liquid floor heating tubing in the workshop / machine shop. I also fabricated and replaced one of the remaining old and rotten load bearing posts in the shop. The workshop is taking shape now and it's quite an improvement over the old one. My father did all of the electric stuff - you can now stick a nail into the outlet, basically touch one of the phases one at a time, and you can't get electrocuted. At least that's how I remember the concept. But I'm a dummy when it comes to electricity - take this information with a grain of salt. Basically the main fuse box was replaced and rebuilt to modern EU standards and also a dedicated fuse box for the workshop was added.
