Ladino Day 2015 Full Program
For the Stroum Center for Jewish Studies' third annual celebration of International Ladino Day, Professors Julia Phillips Cohen (Vanderbilt), Sarah Abrevaya Stein (UCLA) shone a light on Sephardic language and culture via selections from their book, Sephardi Lives: A Documentary History, 1700-1950. The event also included special performances from Seattle community members.
The program includes readings from the book Sephardi Lives: A Documentary History, 1700-1950, published in 2014, Ladino "refranes" or adages, and original writing in Ladino.
