Wardrobe with reclaimed doors tutorial, part 1
As my bedroom is an attic room not normal wardrobe fits the restricted ceiling height so I decided to build my own.
By using reclaimed doors it really gives the room a rustic charm.
This tutorial is a two parter as otherwise it will be a very long boring video, the 2nd part will be online next Thursday so you don't have to wait long.
I made building my own wardrobe very easy by using the Ikea Ivar storage system as a base. You can buy stands and planks separately so you just purchase what you need and as he stands are made of timber they are super easy to cut to size.
I went for the 50x226 size, the biggest in the Ivar range and perfect for a wardrobe.
To make the hanging rails I used telescopic curtain rods and curtain rod holders.
Do make sure you anchor the wardrobe base to the walls making for a sturdy build.
Tune in next week to see how to build the frame and hang the doors.
