Are reman turbos any good? Should I buy new OEM turbo or aftermarket?

Ever wonder what the difference is between a reman part and a new, do you think reman is as "good" as new? Well, lets talk about it!

The basic condition of parts:

1) NEW
-OEM New - a completely new part that was manufactured by the original company who made the original part
-Aftermarket New - a completely new part that was made by a company OTHER then the original manufacturer

2) REMANUFACTURED/REBUILT
-OEM Reman - completely remanufactured by the original company
-Independent Reman - completely remanufactured by a company not directly associated with the original manufacturer
-Rebuilt - freshened up with some new parts to return to working condition

3) TAKE OFF
-New Take off - a part removed from a completed engine before it was run.
-Used Take Off - a part removed from a used engine in the condition it was removed in.
