Conrail Shared Assets locals WPCA-11 & WPSC-21 with CSX EMD Power

While most of the South Jersey and Philadelphia area based CSAO (Conrail) jobs work during the work week, I decided to head out on a Sunday morning in pursuit of two jobs I knew would run since I have previous knowledge of the two.

First up was Conrail WPCA-11, the Penns Grove Secondary switcher/transfer run outta Pavonia Yard in Camden. On Sundays, this job typically only has cars for the SMS Interchange at Pureland, and today was no exception. The CA-11 is seen cutting through the swamps of Southern NJ as they pass by me at Jefferson Lane in Logan Township. On this day, CSX GP38-2 2647 and SD40-2 8854 provided the power, I catch them as they set the entire consist out at the SMS interchange at Center Square Road, before heading back to Camden as lite power.

The other job was another one I've seen before, WPSC-21, which runs from Stoney Creek Yard in Marcus Hook, PA to Eastside Yard in Philadelphia where they interchange with CSX. This local sports a pair of CSX SD40-2s, 8804 and 8319. They are seen as they depart Stoney Creek for their trip up the Chester Secondary, seen as they pass through the hood of Chester, passing the Eddystone Refinery and an offloading K160 with BNSF power and through Essington. After that, They are seen working up the SEPTA Airport Line at Eastwick, which connects the Seondary and Eastside Yard.
