Changing DNS on MX Linux (or any XFCE)
This is a video tutorial about changing DNS on MX Linux (or any XFCE). We will also talk about changing nameservers in any Linux through some config files.
GUI:
Open the Network manager and edit the active connection
In the 'Method' dropdown, select 'Automatic (DHCP) addresses only'
In the 'DNS servers' box, type in the DNS servers separated by comma (This tutorial it was '1.1.1.1,1.0.0.1')
Save
Left Click on the Network icon and disconnect, and then reconnect again.
Restart the browser.
Terminal:
$ sudo nano /etc/resolvconf/resolv.conf.d/head
--IN THE FILE--
nameserver 1.1.1.1
nameserver 1.0.0.1
--------
Save the file by clicking 'ctrl+X' hit 'Y' then 'enter' (to overright file)
reload the network by typing this:
$ sudo resolvconf -u
Restart the browser.
