PWBA Colorado Open PRACTICE SESSION recap

Today was official practice for the 2026 PWBA Colorado Open

This week’s pattern is 39ft, 2.13:1, and 27.44 mL — definitely demanding accuracy and good ball motion control. Interestingly, it’s VERY similar to the Pepsi Open pattern from last season…which happened to be the event where I led qualifying averaging 235. 👀

Practice sessions are always about gathering information, testing ball motion, and figuring out what adjustments might be needed before competition starts. Some looks felt familiar from last year, but every bowling center and every pair still creates its own challenges.

In this video, I break down what I saw during practice, the shapes I liked, some of the moves I was testing, and my overall thoughts heading into qualifying.

I’ll also be posting another video after all 12 games of qualifying are complete, so stay tuned to see how everything translated once competition started.
