Yes, You Can Go Faster Than the Speed of Light. Here's How...

What are the limits of our usual perception of reality? Can we change how we perceive reality and the movie of life? What inner changes do we have to go through to change our whole life experience? What is the “light,” according to Kabbalists? What is the difference between sensing life below or above the speed of light? What do Kabbalists mean by “going above the speed of light?” How can we actually rise above the speed of light to experience reality and its source in its totality?

If we look at our lives from our own perspective, with honest and open eyes, the world is unequivocally sinister and broken. Both in our personal sphere, not to mention if we look out at the broad world.

And if there is an upper force that calls all the shots that is, indeed, cruel.

What if there was an inner change so profound that it touched all of reality and it could alter the perception of my immediate surroundings and those that are the most distant? To such an extent that I could discover myself and all the people of the whole world not suffering but actually enjoying themselves. If we return to our previous movie reel, we see that our protagonist is actually not being hanged; he is just enraptured by a beautiful song of a beautiful girl. Moving the frames forward leads to a state of good that I did not see coming.

Of course, had I known that this state of good was coming, it would have altered my whole experience of the previous frames. And even if those previous frames were legitimately bad, knowing that they were about to change that would change my whole experience in the present moment.

In our lives we are in a misperception of what these frames are that are coming to us, meaning our whole perception of reality and what they are leading to.

But what if we paused the movie for a while because analogous to the state that we are all in on a daily basis when we do not perceive much change? Even though we are going through a lot of changes, we do not feel them. We seem to be stuck in a rut; the same things happen every day. But it does not have to be this way. The problem is that we exist below the speed of light.

A great Kabbalist, Rambam, from the 12th century, already said that our world exists below the speed of light. And the physicists of the 20th century finally understood that if we were above the speed of light, then time would be experienced differently or would disappear altogether.
They just do not know how this principle could clothe into our lives and become immediately relevant. Unless we are talking about a flying spacecraft.

Here is the twist. Light is not just photons. It is everything in our perception. All of which is operated by the upper light, funneling everything into an ultimate, good, and beautiful goal, only at a snail’s pace of planetary movements and such forces that drive it forward. This is called living below the speed of light, meaning below the pace at which the upper light is moving us toward that good and beautiful future where we are heading towards.

Below the speed of light, we do not feel ourselves pleasantly moving through some masterfully designed and exotic ride toward a wonderful future. Instead, we feel ourselves in a daily grind inevitably leading to the cemetery.

The frames in our movie are moving so slowly that we do not perceive any changes at all. It is like watching grass grow or changes in rock formations through billions of years. That is life in our world compared to what it could be if we could go above the speed of light.

Now if we go back a few frames in the movie, we see that getting a ride with the cool and handsome guy in the scene is something highly desirable, and the girl is actually crying because she does not get to go for the ride. Having the foreknowledge would have completely changed my perception of the scene. And this is the way our life is. We truly have blinders on, not knowing what led us here, why we are here, and where we are going.

I get this metadata of reality the same way the director of this movie helpfully provided these little narrative inserts. So how do we do it? How do we go above the speed of light? I need to just once go faster towards the goal of creation than the light already leading me to it. And this is something I have never done before.

The wisdom of Kabbalah lays out all of the stages that the person must go through and allows him, through his free will, to start yearning toward those states. Every time he listens to a video or opens a book, he starts bit by bit to develop this yearning.

And when this yearning becomes sufficient by subtle inner movements toward the goal of creation, the person transcends the speed of light without needing any spaceship and starts to feel all of the goodness, the light that comes from the end state at the final end of the thought of creation.
