My drum cover of the Bee Gees ' You Should Be Dancing.

So I was in a dancing mood of late when this popped up on a playlist and I forgot how great of a song this is. Definitely got me grooving that's for sure. And when I was digging this, I thought to myself, I should do a drum cover of it. And so, here it is!

A #1 song back in 1976, I first learned of it through the mega-selling soundtrack to Saturday Night Fever way back when in '77. I liked it back then, and I still like it now. And while looking for this song on YouTube, I came across a clip of John Travolta's dance sequence for it--and it was damn cool! Featuring the groove of drummer Dennis Bryon, this song is just a four-on-the-floor stomp on the bass and laying in the pocket on the snare. I might have added a few embellishments like fills, hi-hat, splashes and other things but overall I am keeping faithful to what is recorded. And it was pure fun-- for you know me, always searching and practicing to get that soul/groove down.

Ok, hope you dig this one! I loved it to be honest with you especially the drum beat groove break towards the end of the song. If that doesn't get your blood pumping, I don't know what will!
