Coast Guard Medevacs 18 Month Old Boy
NORFOLK, Va. -- A Coast Guard HH-60 Jayhawk rescue crew lands at the Sentara Norfolk General Hospital helicopter landing pad after they medically evacuated an 18-month-old boy and his mother from Ocracoke Island, N.C., Feb. 25, 2011.
Coast Guard watchstanders received a call from Ocracoke Emergency Medical Services requesting the immediate transfer of the boy to Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters in Norfolk. U.S.
