Near to You-Vivien Leigh & Jack Merivale

This is a tribute to the tender romance of Vivien Leigh and Jack Merivale. Jack came into Vivien's life at a very difficult time. Vivien's marriage to the love of her life had just disolved, and she was enduring manic depression. Jack lovingly stepped in and 'filled the gap'. Jack himself admitted in later years that he never replaced Larry in Vivien's affections, but it was clear that even though Jack may not have been the love of her life, Vivien was deeply in love with him, and grateful for all that he had done, and for all that he was to her.
