Does Bangladesh-Iran warm relationship should bother U.S.? Maybe, but it is necessary for Bangladesh to improve economic and developmental situations! Iran can provide much needed energy security to Dhaka. Iranian mineral resources can bring life to Bangladeshi manufacturing industries.
State Minister for Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of Bangladesh Md. Shahriar Alam, MP has attended the oath taking ceremony if the newly elected Iranian President Ayatollah Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi, which is unprecedented.
Speaking in a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh Shahriar Alam on Friday, Ayatollah Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi referred to the long-standing and cultural relations between Iran and Bangladesh, and said, "We have serious determination for development of relations between the two countries in all fields, especially economy, and we consider taking advantage of the existing capacities in favor of the welfare and progress of the two nations”.
