Virology Lectures 2018 #18: Transformation and Oncogenesis
Virus infections can lead to transformation of cells, making them immortal and placing them on the road to cancer. In this lecture we review the discovery of RNA and DNA tumor viruses and how an understanding of how they transform cells lead to an understanding of the mechanisms of cell growth control.
