Artificial Intelligence & Architecture - AI can't make this building...

Artificial intelligence is absolutely everywhere, including the architecture industry. In this video, I break down a conceptual design of Blackberry's new office headquarters in downtown Toronto. We'll check out a few renderings, drawings, and massing images to see just how well AI is able to accurately and effectively design a modern skyscraper.

Buildings are incredibly complex structures to design and construct which serve various important functions. There are thousands of relationships between materials and form and the occupants that computers may struggle with. Right now, artificial intelligence seems best suited for creating many quick and flashy renderings and design-focused images and have a hard time with all the subtle technical nuances.
