The Grotesque Jaws of the Habsburg Nobles - Habsburg Jaw

The "Habsburg jaw", also called mandibular prognathism, was a distinguishing facial feature of many members of the Habsburg royal family of Europe. It is believed that this condition resulted from frequent inbreeding in the dynasty. It was notable for the prominent lower jaw and was sometimes associated with other deformities.
