It’s officially Saturday, my first full day since leaving the 9-5 behind. After the adrenaline of my last day, I thought today would feel like a movie montage. Instead, it was a quiet lesson in the reality of being your own boss.

I sent out some messages, waited for a few things to land that... well, didn't land today, and realized that "freedom" means I’m the one who has to steer the ship, even when the wind isn't blowing.

Inside my first day of freedom:
