It is the last residence built for the Russian Imperial family, the Romanovs. The last time the Romanovs visited Livadia was during the spring of 1914.
Livadia Palace was also the site of one of the most important political events of WWll, the Yalta Conference. It was attended by the 3 heads of state from the anti-Hitler Allied Forces. It included representatives from the USSR, the U. S., & Great Britain.
