The Mesa Arch is located in the Island in the Sky District in Canyonlands National Park. It is about 38 miles outside of Moab, Utah. The trail to see the Mesa Arch is an easy 0.6 mile loop with 80 feet of elevation gain. About halfway through the trail is the Mesa Arch. The Mesa Arch stands just at the edge of a cliff and overlooks a vast canyon with the La Sal Mountains in the background. The arch is heavily photographed because it is east facing and the sun rises up through the arch which makes for some spectacular photos.
