Welcome to week one of our Ski Fitness Prep Series, designed for everyone who wants to get in top shape for their next ski holiday. Whether you’re a beginner, an intermediate skier, or an advanced rider aiming to take your skiing to the next level, these workouts will help you build strength, balance, and core stability essential for carving, tackling bumps, and staying injury-free on the slopes.
In this episode, Steve (@skicoachingonline) and Hannah guide you through five key ski exercises focused on core strength and balance, including dead bugs, bird dogs, side plank dips, single leg balance, and balance squats. Each movement is tailored to mimic skiing muscles, boost your stability, and make you more confident on snow.
What you’ll gain from this workout:
- Stronger core for improved carving and ski control
- Better balance and stability on and off the slopes
- Injury prevention through targeted muscle training
- Easy and advanced options for every level
- No equipment needed (but a cushion or BOSU ball helps for bonus balance!).
