How to Install Outside Mount Lifestyle Outdoor Motorized Shades

Most people think installing their own blinds is hard. But following the simple, step-by-step instructions in this video makes hanging your custom motorized exterior solar shades easy to do yourself! Today we’ll show you how to put one up as an outside mount. Just screw in your brackets, snap on the headrail, grab the remote and you’re off to the races!

NOTE: This shade comes completely assembled and ready to hang complete with a built-in antenna and pre-charged battery), so it's ready to use right out of the box. Make sure to allow for a 1" clearance behind each bracket so the valance can easily snap into place.
1. Using the template provided, tape it to the inside of the opening where you’re hanging the shade to help align the pilot holes for the bracket screws.

2. From each end of the template, measure 2 to 4 inches in and make a mark where the outside of the bracket will go.

3. Place the bracket on your mark with the tab facing out toward you, aligning it with the edge of the template. Mark where you’ll drill the 2 screw holes through each bracket.

4. Pre-drill your holes through the template and remove it. Drill in the screws to attach the brackets.

5. To attach the shade, start by sliding the back of the valance onto the back of the bracket and rotate the front of it up until you hear it click into place.

6. This particular outdoor shade also comes with an optional cable tie-down system. Watch the entire video for complete instructions if you wish to use it.
