This webcast was all about covered calls. We demonstrated how one might use a covered call to rebalance a position. In other words, we could use a covered call as a means of being paid a credit to sell a stock that we wanted to sell anyway. We also showed how one might use the selling of a covered call as a means of generating a return on a stock that is consolidating or trading in a sideways range where the goal is NOT to sell the stock. We placed 4 example trades to illustrate these concepts.
