Erik Survives a Barrage of Bullets and Kills a Public Land Giant Elk

Elk hunting on public land. There's no greater reward when it comes to big game hunting than taking a mature animal, DIY style, on public land - especially a big bull elk.

Overcoming challenges in the form of other hunters, pressured game, and the weather seemed to be the common theme on this particular hunt.

Ty was acting as a first time cameraman and bonafide spotter as Erik's role shifted to a little self filming POV.

They scouted, strategized, and in the end, the hard work paid off.

They two put in the necessary work to be successful as sometimes "going hard in the paint sucks."

Erik is reminded just how bad it sucks when you actually get an elk on the ground. It's nothing short of a lot of work.
