A Mega Load of Megalodon Teeth

Its not often when old spots become new again, but that's what happened with this incredible megalodon tooth hunting hole. It was great in the beginning until all kinds of people found out about it and it got hunted out, destroyed, and forgotten, but then some kind-hearted folks dug a pond and they let us dig for megalodon teeth while the effort was ongoing. It was a treasure trove in every sense of the word. Although the formation was thick and juicy and chock full of fossil goodies, it was in a low area which was constantly wet, so the acidic nature of the local soil rotted out a lot of the finds which tested Diva's resolve. Even so, there were bones like you would expect if a gang of whales died in one place, except that they were all broken apart and mixed up by eons of water flow. We literally could not stick a shovel in and not find some kind of bone. But we were not after bones, we are hunting for megalodon teeth and this spot jam packed with them. Most were broken and rotted like the bones, but there were enough complete ones to rank this spot in my top 20 best megalodon tooth hunting spots of all time. I did exceptionally well here over the two weeks we got to hunt, finding 11 complete megs and a top 5 in my collection juggernaut angustidens. diva pulled in several nice teeth and the weezling made a guest appearance and found a whopper.
