DIY How to make your dump trailer wirelessly controlled for $30 ***READ UPDATES IN DESCRIPTION

*UPDATE- If your wire colors are different this should be your wire color identification:

Blue – Power switched (up/down) (blue in video)
Brown – Power switched (up/down) (white in video)
Green/yellow - To battery 12v power (red in video)
Black – Ground (black in video)

UPDATE 4/14/2021 I have been using the dump trailer and dumping on average 5 times a week (mowing last year I used it a lot) for the last 7 months with no issues. Works flawlessly still, I do think my remote battery is getting weak though as I have lost range

Using a Harbor Freight Winch wireless control kit and 2 diodes (For power down models) you can wirelessly control your dump trailer. Takes about 30 minutes
