Edgar Tafel - Working with Frank Lloyd Wright

Lecture date: 1996-09-25

Edgar Tafel was an apprentice to Frank Lloyd Wright from 1933 and was job architect on the Kaufman House, Falling Water. Tafel, who recently retired from his own New York-based practice, was instrumental in setting up the Guggenheim Museum contract for Wright, and more recently for securing the famous Francis Little House for the Metropolitan Museum in New York. Tafel reflects upon the various projects that he was involved in while working for Wright (and concludes his talk with an 18 min film that documents life with his mentor). He is the author of two books on Wright: Apprentice to Genius and About Wright.

NB: Cuts out before the end of the lecture.
