23. PAKISTAN - Gilgit to Islamabad to Lahore | Round the World on a Fireblade

Real image of Pakistan - what Pakistan is really like. Crazy traffic & the hospitality of Pakistani people.

When I finally got my parts for my Fireblade that I was waiting for for almost a month, me and Mark left Gilgit finally for good and headed towards Islamabad on Karakoram Highway (KKH). We stayed in Mansehra for one night and continued to Islamabad and towards Lahore the next day.

First we stopped in Sheikhupura where we were hosted by Hussein for few days. We tried a lot of local food which was amazing but I ended up in the hospital with really bad food poisoning.

Then we went to Lahore for couple of days where we were hosted by Guliafshan and Heider. Went to see the city and rode through the Walled City of Lahore.

On the way back from Lahore to Sheikhupura I had an accident - and that was the only time I didn't wear my motorbike jacket!

Back in Sheikhupura at Husseins house, we were invited to celebrate World Tourism Day with other bikers from around the world. We visited Hiran Minar - a complex from 17th century in Sheikhupura where we were interviewed, planted a tree and had a chance to interact with the students from the local college.

After couple of days in Sheikhupura me and Mark rode back to Lahore for another couple of days where we were hosted by Guliafshan and Heider again, and we were interviewed by Guliafshan - full interview coming soon on her channel so make sure to follow her!
