Mitsubishi L200/Triton Front Suspension Lift

Welcome to Raptor's Garage.

Paul 'Raptor' Allen has been building Overland and Off-Road vehicles for over 20yrs.

Joined by Chris 'FMA' Marper, a novice to the world of 4x4 building, they'll take you through the trials and tribulations of building, modifying and converting vehicles for rugged terrains.

In this episode, they bring into the garage Chris’s L200 that he’s preparing for the Zombie Apocalypse that he’s convinced is coming…

The truck has already had a 2in body lift and the rear suspension raised 2ins. Now it’s time to lift the front of the truck 2ins to get a more level look.

Whilst we are doing this, we’ll be replacing the CV boots that are split, fitting new top and bottom ball joints, flipping the top ball joint and adding spacers and correcting for the new camber on the wheels when we’re done.

Thanks for the help, advice and parts must go to:

Alex Sugden of Viking Fabrication and Design who supplied the rear shackles. He also supplies his own custom made body lift kits, rock sliders and more and is definitely worth contacting for any projects you have in mind.

The spacers to help improve the suspension articulation and camber correction shims are available from Lee (123HotChef on the L200 Forum) on eBay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MITSUBISHI-L200-96-07-TOP-BALL-JOINT-SPACER-KIT/322506826989?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D43783%26meid%3Ddbf929d2259547d69e8f278365fc4a1f%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D3%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D322427343732

Milners supplied new ball joints, CV boots and brake pads for the project: http://www.milneroffroad.com

The ES9000 Pro shocks with the 2in extension supplied by JimnyBits: http://www.jimnybits.com/other-4x4-models/mitsubishi/l200-triton-pickup/mitsubish-l200-k74-1998-2005-pro-comp-shock-absorbers-dampers.html

As we ran out of time, we’ll be correcting the camber with the shims in the next video, so stay tuned.

As always, if you enjoyed the video, let us know. Don't forget to subscribe, and watch out for more reviews, road trips and how-to's in the coming weeks.

If you've got any constructive advice to offer on any of the builds, please comment below - we're always open to learning from others on the best way to build, modify and convert vehicles.
