Lizzie Velasquez: Finding My Voice
Lizzie Velasquez is an activist, motivational speaker, and author who was born with Neonatal Progeroid Syndrome, which prevents her from accumulating body fat and gaining weight, among other symptoms. Her condition resulted in bullying from an early age, including being labeled as the “World’s Ugliest Woman” in a video posted when she was 17. Velasquez turned this negative act into positive action by creating an anti-bullying movement. She continues to be an inspiration, spreading messages of acceptance, kindness, and love.
