Buddha Purnima (16 May 2022)

Buddha Purnima is an auspicious day to mark the birth anniversary of Gautam Buddha, who is believed to be the ninth incarnation of Lord Vishnu, as per Vedic literature.

The day is celebrated every year on the full moon day of the Baisakh month.

It is believed that on this day, Gautam Buddha obtained enlightenment at Bodh Gaya and he first taught Dharma at Sarnath. Bodh Gaya is the most important pilgrimage site related to the Buddha's life.

Today we made a simple cute buddha Puzzle and recreate a bodhi tree under which Siddhārtha Gautama is believed to have gained enlightenment (bodhi) after meditating under it for 49 days.
