Big Festive Gift: CM Mohan Majhi Launches Mukhyamantri Annapurna Yojana; Over 3 Crore People to Get Additional 5Kg Free Rice

In a massive welfare move, the Mohan Charan Majhi-led Odisha government has officially rolled out the 'Mukhyamantri Annapurna Yojana' starting today. This flagship food security initiative aims to provide significant relief to the underprivileged families across the state.

Under this mega scheme, nearly 3 crore 29 lakh beneficiaries covered under both the National Food Security Act (NFSA) and the State Food Security Scheme (SFSS) will now receive an additional 5 kg of free rice per month. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will formally inaugurate the scheme and distribute the newly designed Annapurna cards to the beneficiaries. This step is a major milestone in fulfilling the double-engine government's commitment to ensuring food security and eliminating hunger in Odisha.
