Total Makeover of a Small Business Website (Case Study)
Full blog post: https://thrivethemes.com/green-fairy-makeover/
In this video, we'll look at how we moved a website from Wix to WordPress and Thrive Themes.
Why the move? For various reasons, the site on Wix was very slow to load, didn't work properly on mobile devices and had a whole bunch of other technical and usability issues. It just didn't do the small business behind it (The Green Fairy vegan ice cream from Switzerland) any justice.
Now, moving a site from Wix to WordPress isn't the easiest task. There's no easy, one-click way to do it, because these are two totally different platforms.
What we did was a complete rebuild and redesign of this website. And as you'll see, the new version of the site is MUCH faster, looks nicer and more professional and is overall a much better website.
For this case study, we used:
- The Thrive Architect plugin for WordPress (https://thrivethemes.com/architect/)
- The Symbols feature in Thrive Architect (https://thrivethemes.com/symbols-feature/)
- Custom landing page templates created with Thrive Architect (https://thrivethemes.com/import-export-landing-pages/)
- WPX Hosting and their excellent service (https://thrivethemes.com/fast-hosting/)
