The Famous Dessert of the Ottoman Palaces: Cherry Bread Kadayif🍒

Delve into the richness of Ottoman cuisine with our Cherry Bread Kadayif recipe. Simple, elegant, and delicious, it's a dessert fit for royalty!

450 grams pitted cherries
1.5 liters water
450 grams sugar
Bread

· Mix sugar, cherries, and water in a pot, and boil for 15 minutes once it starts boiling.
· Reserve 2 tablespoons of softened cherries for topping.
· Slice the bread to a thickness of 2 cm, and shave off the crust from the edges.
· Dry the bread in the oven at 175 degrees Celsius with both top and bottom heat for 5 minutes.
· Drizzle the syrup over the bread while it's still warm.
· Turn on the stove and cook on low heat, turning the bread until it absorbs the syrup.
· If you have 2-3 hours to spare in the refrigerator, serve after letting it sit for 12 hours with clotted cream, and enjoy!
