Tamiya British Churchill Mk.IV/VII 1:35 Scale Part II

Before I even started the weathering of the kit I went back and repainted the tank, I felt the Tamiya dark green was way too dark for me to go ahead and add a gloss coat and pigments. So I repainted the tank with a mix of XF-61 Dark green XF-4 Yellow green to give it a vibrant tint so when I went ahead and applied a gloss coat the colour was just about right ! I'm very pleased with how the weathering turned out, I used the same techniques I normally use a wash, mud, pigments and dust . The only thing I tried different was the mud mix, I normally mix plaster, PVA and pigment, this time I went and used oil paints with pigment only and it worked very well the only thing you have to do is go back with watered down PVA to keep the mud in place . In the next video I will show what I know of dioramas but I cheated a little and bought a base from Miniart, so it will just be the painting and grass application!
