CARINHOSO by PIXINGUINHA (WELSON TREMURA)

CARINHOSO is one of the most important works of Brazilian music. It was composed by Pixinguinha between 1916 and 1917, but recorded for the first time in 1928, with only the instrumental part. Later Carinhoso received lyrics from João de Barro, being recorded with great success by Orlando Silva in 1937. In 1950, the song received an English language version called Love Is Like This composed by Ray Gilbert for the film Romance Carioca.

This live performance took place during the 2022 Brazilian Music Institute at NWSA in Miami with Jovino Santos Neto, piano - Vadim Arsky, Saxophonec- Randy Lee, flügelhorn, and Rafael Abdalla, Double bass.
